Mr. Vernon Howard Fisher Sr. passed away at the Bethany CollegeSide on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the age of 82 years. Vernon was born on September 19, 1939, to Alexander and Kathleen (nee McConnell) Fisher in Battleford, Saskatchewan.
He was very proud member of the Operating Engineers Union Local #955. Vernon will be missed by his wife of fifty-nine years, Edith (nee Mullen); his sons, Vernon Jr. (Collette), Tony, and Mark; his daughter, Debra (Vaughn); his granddaughters, Jessica (Grant), Alyssa, Rebecca (Derek), and Breanna; his grandsons, Matthew (Krista), Ryan, James, Aiden, Jordon (Robin), Erik (Kyla), and Derek (Shaena); and his great grandchildren, Gavin, Alivia, Rayna, and Eloise.
He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Joan Ditchfield and family; his brother, Jerry Fisher and Family; his brothers-in-law, Art Daly and Family, and Bob (Gail) Mullen and Family; his sisters-in-law, Peggy (nee Mullen) Szoo and Family, and Rena Mullen and Family; as well as numerous family members and dear friends. Vernon was predeceased by a daughter, Heather (at the age of three); his parents, Alexander and Kathleen; his step father, Howard 'Pop' Ralph; a sister, Katie and his brother-in-law, James Biddle; his brother-in-law, Ed Ditchfield; his sisters-in-law, Colleen (nee Mullen) Default and Julien 'Duffy', Barbara (nee Mullen) Daly, Esther (nee Mullen) Wotherspoon; his Ross Nieces, Gail, Wanda, Teneal and Mercedes; his mother and father-in-law, Robert 'Bob' and Mary (nee McGinnis) Mullen; his grandparents, Edward Lincoln and Mary Ellen (nee Henderson) McConnell and Pierre and Marie Emerise (nee Ross) Fisher.
