Victor Arthur Lachance passed away peacefully June 4, 2019. The Oil patch has lost another great truck driver and cat skinner. Vic enjoyed the central Alberta rodeo with Irene travelling all across Alberta following the Rodeo Circuit. He also loved to head down to Reno, Nevada. Vic went into the army in 1955 and was stationed in Europe. He received an Honorable discharge in 1959. He started his oilfield career about 1960, Vic delivered fuel for Fas Gas for 17 years and drove over 1 million miles accident free and received great admiration from his peers; he was never late and always took pride in his job. Vic could operate any kind of machine and drive the biggest trucks around. While moving drilling rigs around the Rimbey, AB area he met a fine lady called Alta, she was working in the Rimbey hotel at the time. A short time later they got married and had three beautiful children. He will be greatly missed by these children; Adrian, Tyrone, and Aleta; grandchildren Emily, Carly, Joshua, Jessica, and Jeremy; and great grandchildren Chloe, Aubrey, and Kylie. In 1968 Alta and Victor parted ways.
