Walter BAKER

BAKER Walter Earl Baker of Penhold, Alberta, suddenly and peacefully passed away on Monday, July 18, 2005 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 80 years. He was born on August 14th, 1924 in Castor Alberta. One of fourteen children, Earl had a busy childhood going to school and helping with the family chores. He was predeceased by his parents Roland and Adah: his brothers Merle, Harley and Roy as well as his sister Lois. Earl is survived by Marjorie his wife of 51 years and their children: Pam (Lyle Carter) Baker of Tees, Laurie (Dennis) Morrison of Medicine Hat, Calvin (Nadine) Baker of Penhold, Bruce (Tamay) Baker of Penhold and Darwin (Bev) Baker of Spruceview. His memory will be cherished by his grandchildren: Chris (Sue Logan) Baker, Lacey and Cody Baker, Andre Baker, Ryan and Rick Smith and Elora Morrison as well as by his great-grandchildren Chelsea and Natasha Logan. His memory will be further cherished by numerous brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces and their families. The Funeral Service for Mr. Earl Baker will be conducted from the Chapel of the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67A Street, Red Deer, on Friday, July 22, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the “Airplane 104 Fund” in care of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #104, 5108 – 49 Avenue, Innisfail, AB T4G 1R1 or to the “Pediatrics Ward, Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre” care of the David Thompson Health Region Foundation, P.O. Bag 5030,Red Deer, AB T4N 6R2. Following the funeral service, family and friends are invited to join Earls' family at the Penhold Hall for a time of fellowship.
