ELIUK Walter Eliuk of Innisfail passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, November 19, 2007 at the age of 75 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 51 years, Audrey, his two sons: Lance of Red Deer and Grant of Innisfail. Walter will also be missed by his brother, Bill (Iris) and his two sisters: Mary and Vicky as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Walter was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Lena as well as his brother, George. Throughout his life Walter worked in many trades such as the oilfield, painting, ranching, farming, welding and mechanics. After moving to Innisfail he became a devout gardener who often shared his produce with his neighbors. He was an avid sports fan especially football, hockey and curling. In his younger years he played guitar and sang in a band while working at the #76 Ranch. Walter always believed there were only two types of real music - country and western. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at 4415 – 49 Street, Innisfail, AB, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2007. A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #104, 5108 - 49 Avenue, Innisfail, AB, on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial Donations may be made in memory of Walter Eliuk to the Piapot Lions Club, Piapot, SK, S0N 1Y0, or to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #104, 5108 - 49 Ave, Innisfail, AB, T4G 1R1.
