RESCHKE, WALTER Walter Reschke passed away peacefully on October 16, 2004 at the age of 86 years.Walter was born on November 28, 1917 on the family farm northwest of Trochu to parents Daniel and Hilda. His family included an older brother Benjamin, older sister Esther and younger sister Elsie.Walter married Bernice Wagner in 1954 at which time they took over the family farm. Although they didnÃt have any children, they treated their nieces and nephews as their own. They thoroughly enjoyed taking part in their lives and activities.In 1982, Walter and Bernice built their retirement home in town. Walter farmed for one more year from town and then fully retired.WalterÃs many interests included raising Hereford cattle, travelling, watching hockey, gardening, curling, calling bingo, playing cards and having a coffee at the Drop-In. He also enjoyed having friends or family drop by for a visit.Walter was predeceased by his wife of forty-two wonderful years, Bernice; his parents Dan and Hilda; sisters Esther and Elsie, brother Ben; and nephews Danny and Bryan. Walter will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.Funeral services will be held at the Trochu Baptist Fellowship Centre at 11:00 am on Saturday October 23, 2004.
