Walter Robert (Bob)

Born Medicine Hat, Ab. 1953 and died April 1, 2012. Beloved father, son, brother, uncle, friend, passed away at the Red Deer Hospice after a brave fought battle with cancer. Bob served twenty-one and half years with the Canadian Armed Forces serving two, six month peace keeping tours in the Middle East. Bob enjoyed hockey and football holding season tickets to the Red Deer Rebels and the Calgary Stampeders. He also enjoyed hours flying his model airplanes with the Prop Busters Flying Club. Bob also enjoyed many hours working with Minor Hockey in Moose Jaw Sask. Bob was predeceased by his father Sgt. Frank William Walter Davis; grand parents, Walter and Isabella Davis and Robert and Viola McGraw. Left to mourn Bob, is his pride and joy, his son Nathan (Rachelle); Nathan's mother Lorna; mother Agnes; sister Linda (Dan), brother Ken, sister Karen (Tom), brother Frank (Nathalie), sister Bette-Anne (Mitch); nieces Cindy, Karen (Mark, Page, Annalise), Tara (Asia), Brandy (Jason and Isabella), Jennifer, Christine; and nephews John and Erik; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A celebration of Bob's life will be held Wednesday April 4, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sunny Brook United Church, 12 Stanton St. Red Deer. The family wish to express a special thank you for the excellent care given by the Palliative Care Nurses, rotating Doctors, and all other staff members at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Thank you to Doctor Graham for your care and compassion. Thank you to all the Staff at the Red Deer Hospice. You are all extra special caring people that are so awesome. Thank you to all of Bob's co-workers at Quinn Pumps for the cards, gifts and visits. Also to his friends at Prop Busters for the visits and friendship. Finally thank you for Bob's special group of friends that were always there for him.
