It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Wanda Lynne Warren on January 23, 2021 in Nanaimo, B.C.
Born in Red Deer, the eldest of three daughters, Wanda lived her early years on the Sveinson homestead in the Burnt Lake District west of Red Deer.
In 1958 the family moved into Red Deer and after graduating from LTCHS, Wanda started her career as a telephone operator at AGT. In 1971 Wanda moved to Nanaimo, B.C., where she married Reg Warren and they raised their family.
Although Wanda's passion and focus were always her family, she also loved her flower gardens, knitting and crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles, listening to the 60s music, sketching, and she loved to shop for those ever-elusive perfect gifts for her loved ones.
Wanda will be lovingly remembered by her husband Reg, sons Cory (Haiyan) granddaughter Jessica, Craig (Yumi) granddaughter Eleanor and grandson Ethan, sisters Lorna (Nick) Pantzouri and Karen (Bob) Reay, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Irene and Lorne Latam.
