HUBER Wayne John “Hubie” Huber of Red Deer passed away on Monday, December 12, 2005 at the age of 57 years after a lengthy and courageous battle with diabetes. Wayne will be loving remembered by his wife Bonnie and their children Jason and Stacey of Red Deer, Nadine Enns and their children Pamela (Terry) Der of Lacombe, Rob (Cammie) of Sherwood Park, Kelly (Kristie) of Red Deer and 4 grandchildren. He is also survived by his father John and sister Linda (Brad) Warner. Wayne will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Predeceasing Wayne was his mother Kay in 2005, one sister Jane Jarvis in 1996 and one brother Dennis in 1982. “Hubie” was a very talented and creative man. His sense of humor and ability to socialize left us awe struck. He was an artist, a musician and restaurateur. He was an avid collector and enthusiast of 50’s memorabilia and music. Wayne will be best remembered as “Hubie” of Hubies 1955 Diner which he opened in West Park. When at the diner, “Hubie” daily entertained his customers with his quick and hilarious sense of humor and fed them with his intellect, philosophies and culinary expertise. Throughout his life and even in his weakest moments, he was able to humorously entertain.
