WEIBEL 1964 - 2008 Paul David Weibel of Ponoka, Alberta passed away on March 30, 2008 at the age of 43 years. Paul, born in Smeaton, Saskatchewan on August 4, 1964 was raised at Deschambault Lake, Saskatchewan. His large family, 10 sisters and 4 brothers helped to form his deep love for family ties. His early years were spent outdoors honing his hunting and fishing skills on his family's resort. This was a time Paul would reflect on in many of his well loved stories. As a young adult Paul moved to Alberta and worked with Hopkins Construction. He soon found himself employed in the oil and gas industry. During this time Paul started a family and enjoyed being a father and an uncle to 69 nieces and nephews. At present he was employed for Tundra Environmental Drilling where he flourished. Paul being the charismatic man he was, was well liked and respected as a driller. No one can forget Paul's beautiful blue eyes that seemed to have a sparkle of mischief at all times, not to mention his infectious laugh and witty sense of humor. His deep affection for his family and his mother was unmistakable. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his companion, Shelly Dunbar, 2 sons; Joel Weibel of Red Deer AB and Shane Weibel of Ponoka, AB, 2 daughters; Jamie Symes and Natasha Coultis and 1 grandson, Tyson Symes all of Lacombe, AB. Loved by his mother Isabel Weibel of Canora, SK., his 4 brothers; Richard (Colleen) Weibel of Riverton, MB, Jim Weibel of Donalda, AB, Raymond (Miriam) Weibel of Donalda, AB and Dean (Brandi) Weibel of Tees, AB. His 10 sisters; Donna Weibel (Ernie Huss) of Sechelt, BC, Linda Warnock of Canora, SK, Valerie (David) Kinvig of Regina, SK, Judy (Art) Quiding of Canora, SK, Joanne (Dale) Kinvig of Edgely, SK, Pamela (Terry) Herbert of Red Deer, AB, Barbara Weibel of Penticton, BC, Shelley (Pete) Haywood of Sylvan Lake, AB, Laurie (Geoff) Nelson of Eckville, AB and Teena (Jim) Quick of Sylvan Lake, AB. Paul was predeceased by his father Joseph Frank Weibel.
