Wendelyn DURAND

May 11, 2007

DURAND Wendelyn Irene Durand March 28, 1968 - May 6, 2007 Born in Rimbey, Alberta, Wendy found many places in Alberta to call her home: Rocky Mountain House, Red Deer, Lacombe, Hinton and Edson were all places she could greet many friends. One of Wendy's greatest passions was camping and fishing with her family and friends. Her contagious laughter and practical jokes always kept everyone on their toes. When- ever or where ever you found Wendy, there was always fun and adventure awaiting. Wendy always lived life in the fast lane; whatever her passion at that moment she pursued it with all her heart. Acquaintances were few as she made friends easily and loved each of them. Wendy was predeceased by her infant daughter, Michelle and is survived by her mother and father, Peggy and Shorty of Lacombe, her sister, Melody and husband Darrel Lukawenko of Sherwood Park, her good friend Greg McElroy, numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and a host of friends and coworkers. Wendy shared her last moments surrounded by many of her family and will live on as she bequeathed her organs to help others in need. Funeral Services will be held from Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe, Alberta on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hope Foundation of Alberta, 11032 89 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T6G 0Z6 or to S.T.A.R.S.
