In Loving Memory ~
Wendy passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2022. She passed the same way she lived her life: on her own terms. She was born in Brandon, Manitoba in 1950 and moved with her family to Red Deer in 1961.
She was predeceased by her mom Patricia Nevins, her dad Bill Nevins, her brother Wayne Nevins, her nephew Michael Hawley and the love of her life, Bill Whalley.
Wendy is survived by her daughter Jodi Haydon, granddaughters Taylor Page (Andy), Kassidy Raba (Tom), Makenzie Haydon and great-granddaughters Isla and Eleanor Page.
She also leaves her sisters Bonnie Hawley (Daryl) and Shannon Peterson (Gord).
Her nieces and nephew, Jaimie Bingham (Brett), Ryan Hawley (Shauna), Billie Peterson (Paul Sevcik) and Sam Wright will miss her terribly. Wendy's great-nieces and nephews will also miss her. Her many cousins and friends will remember her fondly.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 1-3 pm at Eastview Estates Community Centre, 120 Ellenwood Drive, Red Deer. In lieu of flowers, Wendy has requested that you take a loved one to Lucky's Kitchen for Chinese food and then to a casino!
