WHEELER Mr. Peter Frederick Wheeler of Waskasoo Estates, Red Deer County, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 18, 2005 at the age of 75 years. He was born March 12, 1930 and grew up on a farm in Reinland, Manitoba. Until his early retirement due to health concerns, Peter worked most of his life in the oil field industry as a heavy equipment operator. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling, camping and playing a good game of Canasta. Peter will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Katherine; three sons, Clifford (Shelley Simmonds), Leonard (Cindy), Darryl (Kevin Rilkoff), one daughter Beverly Knopf (David); four precious grandchildren, Cassandra Wheeler, D.J. Wheeler, Cody Knopf and Katie Knopf along with numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Robert in May, 2001. Thank you to the staff of the Intensive Care Unit of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre for the awesome care received. Funeral Services for the Late Peter Frederick Wheeler will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the CrossRoads Church, 38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer County (on 32nd Street, west of Hwy. #2) with Pastor Stu Krogman officiating. Interment to follow in Alto Reste Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 101, 5208 – 53 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 5K2.
