Wilfred BAYERS

BAYERS Wilfred James Bayers was born on March 15, 1946 in Sexsmith, Alberta. He made his home during much of his life in the Red Deer/Lacombe area. Outside of two years spent in the Royal Canadian Navy and a time spent in the iron works industry, he worked most of his life in the oil and trucking industry in Alberta. On September 5, 1998 he married Lucy Miller. He passed away in Red Deer Regional Hospital on Friday, December 17, 2004 of complications from pneumonia. He was predeceased by a baby sister, his father, and his stepfather. Those left to mourn his passing are his wife, Lucy of Red Deer, his mother Kay Hamm of Lacombe, his sister Darlene Bayers of Edmonton, and many other relatives and friends. A funeral service is being held in Lacombe at Wilson's Funeral Chapel at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 with Pastor Ron Swanson in charge. Interment is taking place in Fairview Cemetery in Lacombe. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
