March 16, 1931 - January 11, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather Wilfred Charles Alton. "Grandpa" was born on March 16, 1931 in Thorsby, Alberta.
He was in oil production and spent his entire career with Texaco/Imperial Oil. He moved around Alberta during his working years and finally settled in Red Deer.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Leona in 1997. "Grandpa" loved his family first and golf second. He was a wise man with never a harsh word for anyone, he brought a sense of calm and common sense into every situation and our worlds revolved around him. We are blessed for knowing him and our world is sadder for having to let go. Memories and family will carry us forward. In respect of his wishes, our family will grieve privately.
