ROLLHEISERTEST Wilfred James Rollheiser, Born May 23, 1941 at Macklin, Saskatchewan passed away in Stettler Hospital on September 13, 2009.He is survived by Lena (Pete) Zielger, Louise (Leo) Bertolo, sister-in-law Gertie Rollheiser, Rose(Kelly) Dukes, Wendel Rollheiser, Barbara Rollheiser, Tony Bettyanne) Rollheiser, Greg (Muriel) Rollheiser, Imelda (Micheal) Zenkawich, Armella Rollheiser and Dorothy Rollheiser, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Katherine and Jacob Rollheiser, two older brothers Benedict (infant) and Rudolph Rollheiser. Also a special niece Bernadette Walshas well as a great niece and nephew. Wilf attended Palm School, after leaving school he helped his father with mixed farming until 1961. He moved to Rosetown where he was employed by the Town of Rosetown for a short time. He took employment with the CCIL for several years. In 1965 he worked with the Rosetown School Unit as caretaker for the High School until 1972, Gulf Service Station until 1973 when he decided to move to Stettler where he continued to work for the Gulf. In 1975 he worked at the Stettler School Division as Caretaker for the Elementary School. In 1978 Wilf started his employment for the Stettler Hospital Complex where he worked until his retirement in 2006. He continued on a part-time basis for almost two years, as well as part-time light duties at the Provincial building as a boiler inspector until June 2009. Prior to 2001 he also managed several apartment blocks where he chose to live until he purchased his own home in Stettler. His home was always open to all his friends anytime, right up to the time of his passing. some of Wilf's interests were traveling, playing cards and socializing with friends. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus and was well known for his skills and friendly manner in looking after the refreshment bar for organizations at numerous social functions. He was a friend to many and will be missed deeply by all. A Prayer Vigil Service, recited by -Monty Sommer and music ministry by Joan Rushton, LeeAnn Kinderwater and Debbie Simon, was held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Christ-King Catholic Church, Stettler, Alberta and Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Rosetown, Sk on Thursday, September 17, 2009 with Fr. Pius Schroh as celebrant assisted by Greg Roth, Seminarian and Helen Mourre as Organist/Soloist. Active Pallbearers were: Tom Rollheiser, Ken Rollheiser, Ian Dukes, Howard Schilitz, Peter Dobrowolski and Frank Zerr. Members of the Knights of Columbus formed a Honorguard. Internment took place at the Rosetown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stettler Health Services Foundation in care of Brennen Funeral Home Ltd.
