DEERING
William (Bill), Rudolf Deering beloved husband of Flora passed away peacefully at the Extendicare on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the age of 94 years. Bill was born on April 19, 1917 in Irvine, Alberta. Bill was one of ten children born to Katrina Jesse and Rudolf Deering. Bill grew up in Medicine Hat in a farming community. Bill married Flora Nimmo August 7, 1948 and they farmed in Hillsdown and Joffre area. Bill's fondest memories were of the farm and the outdoors. Predeceased by his parents and siblings, Bill is survived by Jessie (Glenn) Simon and family, Bernice (Melvin) Heinrichs and family, Gerald (Marlene) Deering, Marilyn (Dermot) Hickey and family, and Willard Deering and partner Val. Bill is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed the last five years of his life at Valley Park Manor and Extendicare and appreciated the staff and many friendships that he made there. He also appreciated the special care he received and the relationship he had with Dr.Mulder and Dr.Hulyk. A Funeral Service for relatives and friends will take place at Eventide Funeral Chapel, located downtown half a block east of the Husky station, (4820-45 Street, Red Deer) on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 1:00pm. Pastor Don Hennig will be officiating. Interment will follow at Alto Reste cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting
