William (Bill)

Bill Huss passed away September 17, 2014 at Lacombe after a short illness with his family at his side. Bill farmed east of Lacombe from 1950 - 2000, when he moved to town. He was very active in the community. He loved horses, music dancing and square dancing. He is survived by his daughter-in-law Ella, grandchildren Kendall, Ron (Sam), and Karyn (Jon); eight great grand children, four nieces and one nephew. Also surviving Bill is a dear friend, Dorothy Phillips. He was predeceased by his son Keith in 1992, wives Georgina in 1999, and Edith in 2006. A celebration of life will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, 5526 - 51 Avenue, Lacombe, Alberta on Monday September 29 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Lacombe. A special thanks to the staff at Royal Oak Manor for the care of Bill. If friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, STARS, or the charity of the donor's choice.
