CHILD William "Bill" Gregory Child passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the age of 78 years, beloved husband of Vivian Child of Medicine Hat. He leaves to cherish his memory two children, Arthur (Bruce) Child of Abbotsford, B.C. and Margaret Elizabeth “Peggy” Child (Marlowe Harrowby) of Edmonton; three grandchildren, one great grandson; his extended family; two nephews, Greg Clark (Nona) of Drumheller, and Richard Clark (Beth) of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Margaret Child and one sister Florence Clark (Newton). After 45 years of service with Natco Company, Bill retired on October 31, 1988. Always living life to the fullest, Bill enjoyed golfing and winters in Arizona. He will be remembered for his great dedication to the Kenilworth Lodge #29, of which he was the Past Master at Red Deer, the Al Azhar Shrine (Arab Patrol and Medicine Hat Motor Patrol), and the Royal Order of Jesters, CT. #42. The celebration of his life will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL (540 South Railway Street SW, Medicine Hat) on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Loren Hosfield officiating.
