ECKENSWILLER, WILLIAM J. "BILL" APRIL 6, 1955-APRIL 15, 2005 With family by his side, Billy passed away in hospital at Edmonton, Alberta. Life long friends and a large family are left to remember Bill. Left to mourn are: Bill's son, Serge Eckenswiller; treasured mother, Rose; only sister, Rosemary Franklin; brothers, Frank (Rita), John (Fay), George, Lester (Linda), and Joe (Tammy); special friend, Bernice Popek; and extended family in Scotland. There are numerous nieces, nephews and their children whose lives have been touched by "Uncle Bill". His father, Harold Eckenswiller, predeceased Bill in 1988. Born at Whitecourt, Billy would always be an Alberta boy. It was in the 70's that Billy settled in Red Deer and began a long career in the oilfield. With so many interests and ventures, there will be a void in several social circles in Central Alberta. Friends are invited to join the family to celebrate Bill's life. A service of Remembrance for the late Mr. William "Bill" Eckenswiller will be held at the Chapel of the Sylvan Lake Funeral Home on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend John Smith officiating. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Bill's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
