HARE, William HARE

William Edward Hare, beloved husband of Fran Hare of Irricana, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at the age of 69 years. William was born on May 14, 1935 in Ottawa, ON. He attended Carlton University where he acquired his B.A. and later his Masters in Divinity at Queen's Theological College. It was here he met Frances and they were married in 1966. Rev. Hare has served pastoral charges in Breadalbane,

PEI, Admaston in ON, Southmountain - Hallville, ON, Tofield, AB, Namao, AB and Irricana retiring in 2002. Along the way he became known as the "Pistol Packing Preacher" having participated in Commonwealth Games, Olympics, PAN-American games, World Championships and a variety of other events. Besides his loving wife Fran, Bill will be missed by his children John Hare of Medicine Hat, AB, Lorna and Kevin Idland of Fort McMurray, AB, Dorothy and Cam Ludwig of Langley, BC, and Lynda Hare of Calgary; his grandchildren, Stacey and Douglas Idland; his parents Edward and Dorothy Hare of Hamilton, ON. He is also survived by his siblings Frank and Carol Hare, Jim and Laurie Hare, and Elizabeth Hare all of Ottawa, ON, Jament and Bruce Forsythe of Hamilton, ON; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Airdrie Chapel (300 Towerlane Drive) today, January 19, 2005 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the Irricana Community Hall on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at 2:00 pm with the Minister Neal
