William LAMBERT

February 9, 2005

LAMBERT, William Edmund William Edmund1936-2005

On Sunday, February 6, 2005, Bill changed his place of residence and is now home with his Lord and saviour. Released from the pain of cancer after a long courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma, Bill leaves his family and friends a lasting legacy of love. Bill spent a lifetime serving, working and caring for others, demonstrating a true servant's heart. Bill was born in Calgary and in his formative years lived in Banff & Red Deer. He was a member of the ski patrol in Banff. Bill attended the U. of A. and completed his pharmacy degree, graduating in 1958. He worked as a pharmacist in Edmonton, Red Deer and Calgary moving to Lac La Biche in 1967. In his 38 years in Lac La Biche, Bill served in many ways. He was a pharmacist and even vet when there was not one. He was active in many service clubs. Bill loved hunting, fishing, golfing and black powder shooting. Some of his favourite sayings were: "It's the physics of the thing", and "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Bill was passionate about his family and friends and, for a time in his life, politics! In his later years, in a ceremony that meant very much to him, Bill was baptized and re-dedicated his life to Christ. Bill leaves to follow him: his loving and devoted wife, Leigh, and sons James Gascoyne and Cole Nowicki; son Todd (Betsy) Phillips and his grandchildren Adam, Jocelyn and Luke; his first wife, Pat lambert, and their daughters Nicky Lambert (Len Carlson) and his grandson, Mitch; Jackie Lambert-Murray

(Ron) and his grandchildren, Andrea, Alexa and Paul; Sherry (Douglas) Brock and his grandchildren Matthew, Emily and Kevin; his sister Pat (Badger) Berger-North; his nephews and nieces: Terry Berger-North, Kent (Winnie) Berger-North and great-nephew Kyle; Tanya (Rick) Edestrand and great-nieces Lauren and Nicki; Rebecca Berger-North and Great-Uncle Arthur who is celebrating his 100th birthday this month. Bill is also survived by many other extended family and friends whom he loved dearly. Bill was predeceased by his second wife, Lynne, his mother, Madeline, and father, Cecil. Funeral to take place at 1 pm, Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the Evangelical Free Church in Lac La Biche, Pastor Charles Fish officiating.
