MUNN, WILLIAM "SCOTTY"

Mr. William (Scotty) Munn of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at the age of 76 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Jeannette; two daughters, Barbara (Larry) Marasco and Shirley (Richard) Russell; one son, Bob (Michelle) Munn; and seven grandchildren. His memory will be cherished by his brother, George (Sandra) Munn; brother-in-law Gus (Vivian) Coderre and sister-in-law Lucille Derringer; as well numerous nieces and nephews. Scotty was born in Renfrew, Scotland on March 24, 1928. He immigrated to Canada to the Ponoka area in 1949. In 1953, he married Jeannette Coderre in Dollard, Sask. He spent most of his working years in the oil and gas industry, retiring in 1989. Scotty was an avid golfer, organizing and participating in the senior's program at the Innisfail Golf Club for many years. He spent his retirement years golfing, traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He amazed us all with his gracious approach during his year long illness. The family would like to express sincere thanks for the wonderful care provided by Dr. Sandy Murray, his assistant Barb, Dr. Tarukandirwa, the Central Alberta Home Health Services and the Red Deer Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
