PEEBLES William A. (Bill) June 28, 1931 - July 13, 2007 Bill passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Red Deer Regional Hospital on July 13, 2007 at the age of 76 years. Bill was born and raised in Calgary where he attended Western Canada High School and SAIT, becoming a journeyman welder. Bill worked for many years throughout Alberta as a self-employed portable welder before owning and operating Peebles Welding in Innisfail. In later years, Bill used his vast knowledge and experience in his role as a consultant on numerous oilfield construction projects. Bill was a devoted family man and is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Joy Peebles and their six children; Leslie Leedholm (Chris, Curtis). Scott and Susan Peebles (Bryce, Lauren), Mary and Roger Swainson (Natalie, Graeme), Roxanne Wood and Tony Meulenbelt (Sean, Ryan, Joey, Stacy, Melissa), Jim and Shelley Peebles (Jesslyn, Jenna, Brock) and Andy Peebles, as well as 5 great grandchildren, Bill's sister Pat and brother-in-law Tony Peterman and family. Bill was predeceased by his mother Mayme Peebles, father Andy Peebles and daughter Allison Peebles. A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Tuesday July 17 at 1:00 pm. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Ave. Red Deer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Salvation Army or the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
