POWERS, William "Bill" 1950 - 2009 Bill Powers of Red Deer, AB passed away at Red Deer Regional Hospital on January 25, 2009 at the age of 58 years. Bill was born in North Bay, ON, although he spent most of his younger years as a heavy duty mechanic in British Columbia, where he met and married Deb in 1978. In 1981, Bill and Deb moved the family to Alberta, taking up farming near Bonnyville shortly thereafter. In the early 90's, the family moved to Sylvan Lake, then to Red Deer. Bill's passion was Harley Davidson bikes, whether it was riding, building, showing, or racing. He also had a great love for the mountains and being outside. Before his passing, Bill went back to what he enjoyed, working as a service tech for DC Energy here in Red Deer, where great friends and great memories were made. Bill is lovingly remembered by his wife Debra Powers, two daughters; Crystal Powers (Keith Sanford) and Avril Powers, one grandson; Xander Powers, all of Red Deer, and two brothers; James Powers of North Bay, ON and Peter Powers of Vancouver BC. Bill was predeceased by his parents James and Margret Powers.
