William REED

September 28, 2004

REED, William Donna Norinne Reed (nee Pearce) of Sylvan Lake passed away at the Sylvan Lake Bethany Care Centre on September 28, 2004 at the age of 72 years. Donna was born on November 5, 1931 in London, Ontario. She lived with her parents, sister and Grandma in London and Windsor. Donna and her sister, Shirley, were very close and kept that loving bond throughout their lives. Donna met and married Bill in Windsor in 1950. They were married for 54 happy years and were truly, a love team. They lived in various cities in Ontario before moving to Regina in 1965. As a young mother, Donna stayed home to raise their three children. She then returned to work for many years as a medical stenographer. Donna was very involved in her children's lives, volunteering with the schools, Sunday School Teacher and Brownie Leader. She has a great appreciation of family history, researching the family tree and has a great collection of family pictures. Donna loved animals and there was always a spoiled, happy, dog around the house. Donna will be lovingly remembered by two sons; Jim (Montira) of Sydney, Australia and Randy (Lonnie) of North Bay, Ontario, one daughter, Diane (Don) Fleming of Red Deer, nine grandchildren; William, Arrisara and Charlotte, Ashley and Carson, Mike, Jeff, Brooke and Melissa and one brother-in-law, Nick Grablo of Tillsonburg, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill on September 24, 2004, her parents; Frederick and Marjorie Pearce and her sister, Shirley. A Memorial Service was held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street) on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Donna Reed may do so to the Alzheimer's Society, Canadian Cancer Society or the S.P.C.A. We want to thank, again, all of the great care workers at the Bethany Centre. You always made mom and dad feel special, and brightened every day for them. We so appreciate all of the love and support, and just being there for them. Condolences can be emailed to condolences@reddeerfuneralhome.com and will be forwarded directly to the family.
