WILLIAMS Mrs. Marilyn Louise Williams of Red Deer, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 21, 2005 at the age of 66 years. With her five daughters at her side, her long and courageous battle with ALS came to a peaceful end. Marilyn was born on November 2, 1938 at Grand Falls, Newfoundland. She grew up in Grand Falls, where she met her husband, Jim. Marilyn and Jim settled in Baie Verte, Newfoundland, where they raised their five girls. They moved to Red Deer in 1990. Marilyn was a very loving, devoted and exceptional mother who loved to be surrounded by her family, and caring for their every need. She especially treasured her grandchildren and loved them with all her heart. Marilyn loved the outdoors and enjoyed long walks, berry picking and gardening. She also enjoyed fishing, going skidooing and loved playing the piano. Marilyn will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of her family and many dear friends. Marilyn leaves to mourn her loss, her loving daughters, Cathie (Dan) Williams-Lewis of Red Deer, Lisa (Joe) Furey of Fort McMurray, Jocelyn (Dennis) Trepanier, Judy Williams (Jeff Goodyear) and Linda (Dean) Downey, all of Red Deer and her grandchildren, Stephanie and James Williams, Brittney Williams-Lewis, Matthew Furey, Rachelle and Kayla Trepanier, Brooke and Liam Goodyear and Jacob and Emily Downey. She will also be very sadly missed by her mother, Priscilla Lane, one brother, Rankin Lane, both of Grand Falls, Newfoundland, two sisters, Carol Gant and Linda Saikley, both of Ottawa, Ontario, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Marilyn was predeceased by her father, Joseph Lane, her beloved husband, Jim and a brother, Ken. Prayers will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 – 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5508 – 48A Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. Interment will be held at the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
