September 27, 1937 - May 21, 2019
Linda passed away peacefully on May 21, 2019 after experiencing a lengthy journey of Alzheimer's and dementia. Linda will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years Ross, her children Leanne and Sandra (Fred); grandchildren Jerika (Matt), Jayden, Kylen and Caleb; and great grandchild Bentley. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan in 1993.
Linda spent her career as a secretary, where her typing, shorthand and organizing skills placed her in high regard. She retired after serving as secretary for five superintendents at the Red Deer Public School Board.
She was dedicated to a life of service and could be found volunteering with Sunday school, the Kiwanis music festival, the
Order of the Eastern Star and catering for all sorts of functions.
Over the years she enjoyed vacationing, bowling, curling, square dancing, piano and most of all her family.
We would like to thank the staff at Holy Cross Manor in Calgary for making Linda's final months safe and comfortable.
A private family celebration of life was held in Calgary.
Flowers are gratefully declined, instead we encourage all to perform a volunteer act of service in Linda's memory.
