WINTERS, Kathleen Mrs. Kathleen Marilyn Winters of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton on Friday, September 4, 2009 at the age of 68 years. Kay was born on March 9th, 1941 in Medicine Hat, Alberta, moved to Calgary in 1961 to work at the Holy Cross Hospital as an LPN. In 1963 she married Hendrik Winters. Both Hank and Kay moved to Birch Bay, Gull Lake in 1988 where Kay continued working as an LPN at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre until she retired in 1998. Kay enjoyed both golfing and bowling and loved to fish at Open Creek Dam. Kay will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband, Hank and their two sons, Rob (Katherine), Doug and granddaughter, Lauren, adopted grandchildren, Nicholas, Megan, Brittany and great grandchildren, Hayley, Declan and Chloe. Kay is also survived by two brothers, Gerald Woolley and family, Robert (Lorraine) Woolley and family of Medicine Hat. Kay will also be remembered by numerous relatives in Holland, Australia, Bahamas, and Houston, Texas. Kay is predeceased by both parents, Glen and Ina Woolley, one sister, Shirley and one brother, Keith. A celebration of Kay's life will be held at Rob and Katherine Winters home #6 Birch Cresent, Birch Bay on Saturday October 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation took place at Personal Alternative Funeral Services Crematorium, Airdrie.
