BALLANTINE With great sadness we announce the death of Doris Y. Ballantine who passed away peacefully on May 11, 2008 at the Lacombe Hospital. She was born November 4, 1920 in Lacombe Alberta, where she grew up, lived and worked most of her life. As a seed analyst for more than 50 years she made many lifelong friends. Doris loved to travel and share her stories. She enjoyed her outings and socializing with her extended families. She was predeceased by her sister Nora in 1923, her mother Anna in 1949 and her father Peter in 1965. She will be sadly missed by all. Prayer Service will be held at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 5128 53 Street, Lacombe, Alberta at 7:00 pm on Friday May 16, 2008. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 pm Saturday May 17, 2008 at St. Stephens Catholic Church. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
