YANCHUK

February 29, 2008

YANCHUK (nee Adams) 1935 - 2008 Margaret Eileen Yanchuk (nee Adams) of Kamloops passed away on February 27, 2008 at the age of 72 years. She is survived by her loving husband Matthew Yanchuk, son Darrell (Shelly) Adams of Savona BC, Donna (Bob Robertson) Sargeant of Innisfail Alberta; grandchildren Alea (Chad) Munden, Travis Sargeant, Dustin (Sherry) Adams, Michelle Sargeant, and Jessi Adams; great grandchildren Sidney & Brody Munden; her brothers and sisters Pauline (Don) Seymour, Josie (Wally) Ball, George (Irene) Ward, Bud (Evelyn) Ward, and Helen Dumontel; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. Predeceased by Delbert Adams (1st husband) in 1968, parents Stuart & Helen Ward, in-laws Frank & Mary Adams, Harry & Mary Yanchuk, Barry Harper, Joe Yanchuk, Joe Dumontel, brother John Ward, and nephews Danny Kazakoff and Gary Ward. Marg was one of seven children born to Stuart and Helen Ward on November 14, 1935 at Patricia, Alberta. Mom was a very avid golfer and curler until January of 2000 when she suffered a massive stroke and was paralyzed on her right side. This never stopped her though, as during her recovery she would ride the golf cart with Dad, and it always made her feel good. I think she became Dad’s personal coach. In the winter she would attend the curling club with Dad, where he continued to play with the mixed senior league, and be the team cheerleader. No matter the struggles in Mom’s life, she always had a smile on her face right until that fateful day that she was taken to be with the Lord. May she rest in peace. A Celebration of Margaret’s life will take place at 12:30 pm, Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Kamloops Curling Club, 700 Victoria Street. Donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Kamloops Funeral Home 250-554-2577 Condolences may be emailed to; sympathy@shawbiz.ca
