ZELT Mrs. Miriam Zelt (nee Jakowitz) passed away peacefully November. 30, 2006 at Bethany Care Centre in Sylvan Lake, AB. She was born in Manyberries, AB. on October 13, 1924. As a young child Miriam moved to Eckville and later to Markerville where she resided most of her life. Miriam is survived by her husband Lorenz of 53 years; daughter, Edith (Dave) Oxley of Red Deer, AB; sons, Paul (Nelia) of Wetaskiwin, AB, Otto of Red Deer, AB and son-in-law, Don Loov of Wetaskiwin, AB. Miriam is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Travis, Robin, Anders, Steven, Nicole, Chris and Josh as well as three great grandchildren. Miriam was predeceased by her daughter Donna in 1983. A funeral service for Miriam Zelt will be held at the Christ Lutheran Church (Tsp. Rd. 370 and Rg. Rd. 32) in Markerville, Alberta on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Russ Howard Officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Miriam's name may be directed to The Canadian Diabetes Association, #6, 5015 - 48 Street, Red Deer, AB T4N 1S9.
