Re: “Should teachers be able to tell parents their child has joined a gay-straight alliance?”
How about asking these questions: If parents believe teachers should tell parents that their children have joined a gay-straight alliance, will they then allow their pastors/priests/rabbis to publicly publish their parishioners’ most-inner problems?
How about the Canada Revenue Agency publicly exposing the tax information of Canadian taxpayers? How about doctors, nurses and pharmacists publicly advertising the medical records of their patients?
How about attorney-client confidentiality? Make that public, too? No? Why not?
Most folks believe professionals should protect the privacies of their clients, yet some parents want teachers and administrators to tattle-tale on their students.
Hmm? Do they know the meaning for the word “hypocrisy”?
