Letter: Adopt standard time

Now, in the darkest days of winter, we should consider what it would be like if we were on permanent daylight savings time, making for gloomy mornings with the sun not rising until 9:30 a.m.

At the same time, we should consider the unnecessary insanity of changing the time on clocks twice a year.

Daylight savings time is really not of any value in our Northern latitudes except for a few weeks in the spring and autumn. We should adopt standard time permanently.
