Letter: Bad time to shutdown salons

I am a senior who works part-time, who enjoys getting my hair and nails done, especially before Christmas.

What was Premier Jason Kenney thinking when he does a shutdown and puts all these restrictions on families and gatherings just before Christmas.

Where was his head a month ago when this should have been down? When the cases were climbing. Why did he wait so long?

Now he has put more financially hardship on hair and nail salons and barber shops who generally are very busy during the holiday season. These salons follow all the strict protocols, shields between customers, they wear masks and face shields and sanitize the chairs and work stations after every customer.

I guess Kenney doesn’t support these businesses or families by putting these restrictions on at the worse time of the year. He is a month too late and he is hurting a lot of businesses and families at a time when everyone needs all the support they can get.

I’m totally disappointed and disgusted at how he is handling this pandemic, especially during the holiday season.
