Letter: Be a cyclist or a pedestrian

I thought when cyclists were using the bike lanes, they were to follow the same traffic laws as the other vehicles.

The following has happened nurmeous times.

When the cyclists in the lane beside me come to a red light they jump the curb and continue riding their bike on the crosswalk. For the other driver it is frustrating, a distraction, evokes a thought of fear of not seeing the cyclists on the side walk come back into the lane of traffic.

I wish a cyclist would be just be a cyclist. They can’t be both a cyclist and pedestrian. So please cyclists walk your bike across the crosswalk. You are either a cyclist or pedestrian. The children are doing it better than the 16 year old and up age group.
