There is a more important point to be made in the form of a question.

How many of the finger pointers, including the average, anonymous Joe citizens of our province, disregarded provincial regulations over the last few weeks? Participation in a holiday party or two spreads COVID-19 just as easily as a politician coming off a plane from a far away place.

We are correct to hold accountable those who set the bar high and should set the best example. Truthfully, anyone who put others at risk by willfully crossing the regulatory line must also be held accountable.

Alberta’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Hinshaw continually and rightfully reminds all Albertans to show kindness, compassion and respect for one another. I ask myself: am I doing everything I can to keep others safe from COVID-19?

My mom used to say, “when you point a finger remember there are three pointing back at you.”
