Letter carriers make sure caring messages arrive on time

Kudos to the postal service workers.

I write weekly letters to a friend living in a retirement residence in Regina, Sask.

She is an amazing 95 years of age and enjoys hearing about what is happening in my life and in my community. She also appreciates all the articles, jokes and pictures I clip from the Advocate and send along with my letters.

A few weeks ago, I even boxed up and mailed a small glass ornament, hoping it would arrive safely before Christmas.

Well, it did.

So, despite the rotating strikes and the difficulties of being in such an unfortunate situation, the postal workers have done an excellent job of getting the mail to my friend Mac on time.
