The hospitals are under tremendous stress due to a high number of COVID patients.

A high majority of these patients are unvaccinated.

The premier of Alberta has decided not to hold these people accountable for the decisions they are making regarding vaccines. Instead he brings a mask mandate in for all. On top of that, the health minister is trying to reduce the nurses wages.

All of this prevents the taxpayers who have received the vaccine from acquiring the surgeries they require.

I think if the government wants to motivate people to get the vaccine and keep the nurses wages stable they should bill unvaccinated people who contract COVID and require hospital care. Use those funds to offset the nurses wages.
