Letter: In favour of going to permanent Standard Time

The article “Two referendum questions, senate vote also on ballot,” on Page 3 of Oct. 1’s edition of The Advocate, states, “Perhaps the easiest referendum query will be answering yes or no to: ‘Do you want to adopt year-round Daylight Saving Time … eliminating the need to change our clocks twice a year.’”

I find this the most difficult question to answer and I am afraid I am going to answer, “No.” Not because I want to change my clocks twice a year, but because I favour going to permanent Standard Time. This is not an option given in the question.
