Letter: Make use of the former Sears building

I know this may sound ridiculous, however, it is a good idea. Why not take the area where Sears used to be and turn it into operating rooms, a restaurant, and kitchen for anyone who needs a knee replacement or hip replacement. The upstairs (with new elevator) can be for patients that need to stay close to nurses and doctors for a few days.

There are hundreds of people waiting for their turn to get knee and hip replacements. My own son has to wait two years. What we need are doctors, nurses, cleaning staff, operating rooms, a restaurant for visitors and a kitchen for patients. The laundry could be done downstairs at the main hospital. This idea would work. Keep an open mind. We already have walls, floors, lights, heat, etc.

Thank you for letting your readers consider this. Could we get the government to give us the money we need?
