With the 20-year anniversary of 9/11 and so much more that has happened since, I look at the world around me and see a world that has potential to change, but to move forward in a positive way, we as a society need to be able to change.

Peace among each other is possible but we must be willing to make the changes needed so we can leave the world a better place than we came into, so we are leaving a legacy for our children and grandchildren.

I know we live in a society where so many of us are so busy making a living that we forget to live.

It takes less than five minutes to show someone you care if we did all this, we could start to rebuild trust among any race and we would be setting an example for the most important future asset that society has: our children.

Peace is possible but instead of fighting with each other we need to work together because if we start to work together and see that all people belong and have a right to be here then we can restore our world to the way it was meant to be instead of living in a world that seems so broken.
