At my local convenience store on Wednesday, March 13, I observed the front page article about how the snow plowing done by the City of Red Deer has caused some people grief.
This reminded me of an observation I made a few days ago – probably on the same day – watching the graders and dump trucks removing snow.
It occurred to me that the warm temperatures that had arrived by this point made the snow removal operations completely unnecessary. I mean, why plow snow that is about to melt?
A spurious waste of our tax dollars, no doubt about it.
