My son is a long haul trucker and transports goods from coast to coast.

I recently saw on the news that truckers driving from Manitoba to North Dekota will be getting their shots at a truck stop over the border in the U.S.

Why can’t our government do the same in this country? Most truckers can’t take off the time to go to a clinic where they live to get a vaccine and if each province setup a site at a truckstop, then a lot more people would be vaccinated.

If the U.S. can offer this to truckers why can’t our country? They are essential workers and are at high risk driving across Canada especially in Ontario.

Also Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was asked why is he continuing to allow citizens from other countries to enter Canada and again could not provide a straight answer. What is it going to take to close our airports to international travel and slow down this pandemic, and consider truckers as essential workers.
