Red Deer city councillor Victor Doerksen says that the city should remove its mandatory vaccine policy for staff because both vaccinated and unvaccinated people can spread COVID. This is true, but grossly misleading.
A study published in the medical journal The Lancet just a week ago stated that “Vaccination reduces the risk of Delta variant infection and accelerates viral clearance.” So Doerksen needs to do a bit more homework on the matter, I’d say.
