The recent violence against anti-racism protesters has brought Red Deer under the national spotlight, and not for a good reason.

The response of the police, that they take this violence seriously, really makes Canadians wonder.

Are the Red Deer police that incompetent that they could not arrive on time for the planned event they were asked to attend, or did they purposely arrive late, hoping that racist thugs would intimidate the demonstraters?

Either way, it is clearly the fault of the police for the stain on Red Deer’s reputation. Tough questions need to be asked and there must be consequences.
