Re: “Central Alberta United Way campaign kicks off,” Sept. 13.
I attended the kick off luncheon for the United Way fundraiser.
Those who did not attend this luncheon missed a dynamic speaker. Her name is Amanda Burt, and she was in a car accident in 2015.
She spent 13 months in various hospitals and had to learn to walk, feed herself, talk, and the things we all take for granted.
She has now become an ambassador for the United Way and I’m sure she will be a great representative for them.
I now look at our world with different eyes.
