As one of the biggest professional tournaments in golf, the Masters, gets underway Thursday, golf in Central Alberta will do the same.
A pair of Central Alberta golf courses will open Thursday, with Wolf Creek Golf Resort in Ponoka opening its Links Course at 10:00 a.m. and Balmoral Golf Course opening at noon.
Last year, many of the golf courses in the region were open before April 8.
