4A central zone high school basketball semi-finals tip-off

The 4A central zone senior high school basketball semi-finals got off to an exciting start on Thursday.

The St. Joseph Falcons senior boys took Game 1 over the Hunting Hills Lightning 80-57 and the Lindsay Thurber Raiders beat the Lacombe Rams by a slim 71-68 margin.

On the girl’s side, the Raiders blew out the Rams 79-28 and the Lightning won 58-43 over the Notre Dame Cougars.

Game 2 for all four series is set for Tuesday, March 5.

The the Lightning senior boys will host the Falcons at 6 p.m. and the Raiders welcome the Rams at 7:45 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Raiders senior girls will take on the Rams at home at 6 p.m. and the Cougars will play at home against the Lightning at 6 p.m.
