After the first day at the Alberta Ladies Amateur Championship at the Canmore Golf and Curling Club, the leaderboard showed a tight race thus far in the tournament.

Point Grey Golf and Country Club’s Ling Yu Hao leads the way at two under par with Edmonton’s Annabelle Ackroyd close behind at one-under-par. They were the only two to shoot under par on opening day.

Central Alberta’s closest competitor to the top is Red Deer Golf and Country Club’s Eileen Park after she shot five over par on Tuesday.

The tournament will continue on Wednesday and they will crown a champion on Thursday after the conclusion of the Alberta Ladies Amateur Championship.
