Alberta Men’s Amateur Championship wraps up in Innisfail

Lacombe’s Brady McKinlay shot a solid one under par on the final day of the Alberta Men’s Amateur Championship but it wasn’t enough to repeat as champion.

At Innisfail Golf Club on Thursday Edmonton’s Ethan Wilson stood out from the pack shooting an impressive 11 under par to take home the victory.

Edmonton’s Neil Thomas was the next closest at three under par with McKinlay not far behind at two under par through the three-round tournament that began on Tuesday.

Other central Albertans who participated in the tournament include Innisfail’s Joe Kelly (+5), Innisfail’s Joe Ouelette (+5), Red Deer’s Cole Bergheim (+8), Lacombe’s Bobby McKinlay (+11), Red Deer’s Carter Graf (+12), Lacombe’s Tom Jr. McKinlay (+14), Red Deer’s Brady Durkin (+15), Olds’ Tim Hollman (+16), and Red Deer’s Logan Graf (+22)
